Top of The Muffin To Ya

Here Goes the second shot at a blog entry. I am rather proud of myself for figuring this whole thing out! Now there is a link to all of our Japan pictures, nice and easy. I guess you don`t have to be technologically savvy to use the internet.

Exciting news of the week... Yesterday we bought a DVD player. It is the most beautiful machine on the planet, not to mention very useful! Now we can watch Japanese movies with english subtitles. I have been meaning to learn more about Japanese movies so I guess this is my chance. Although, admittedly the first thing I will do is watch some much missed Seinfeld.

Today when we were sitting eating lunch in Osu, a funky shopping area in Nagoya, a very talkative man came up and started to lecture us about his travels around the world. By the end of the 15 minute session we knew he had spent 1 million USD while travelling to 100 countries, slight exaggeration?! He was quite a character and he kept our attention by saying "You understand??" in a very loud voice and showing pictures. It is not often a Canadian hears "Niagara falls YOU UNDERSTAND?!". We seem to meet lots of interesting people who will come up and talk to us out of the blue to practice english.

That is about all for now. Tomorrow work starts again and I start the countdown to next weekend.
